Hello!

I’m Jonah Blaser from Toronto, Canada and I work in production sound. After graduating from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2018 I went into production sound full time and haven’t stopped since, working on all kinds of projects. My goal is to help tell the story in the best way possible with sound, capturing and preserving the actors genuine performance.

I’ve worked with clients such as Mercedes Benz, Microsoft, Loblaws, and The Raptors. I’ve worked on lots of documentaries including Before The Plate (2018), Attila (2023), and Aerobic Corridor (2026).

My bread and butter is narrative, having worked on a countless number of short films, as well as indie feature films. Some of these would include: Quickening (2021), I Like Movies (2022), Boxcutter (2025), and Middle Life (2026). I also work in large scale movies and TV, having worked with Netflix, Disney, Amazon, Sony and many more. Some examples would be, Vladimir (2026), Ready or Not 2 (2026), FUBAR (2024), and The Apprentice (2024).

On top of sound, I love telling my own stories, making documentary films. I have created documentaries about Unity Charity, and Hong Shing Chinese Food Restaurant. My first original doc, Captain Cowboy and the Moneymaker (2017) won the Short Film Festival Directors Award at the Toronto Independent Film Festival. I made my first feature length documentary, If So, Do So, about four time Olympic bobsledder, Christopher Spring.
